Origami

Origami is the traditional art of paper folding. Some sources said it was from Japan, while the other said it was from China and Europe. In China, traditional funerals include burning folded paper, most often representations of gold nuggets (yuanbao). Meanwhile in Europe, in 1490 there's a picture of small paper boat in Tractatus de Sphaera Mundi. While in Japan, the reference is a short poem by Ihara Saikaku in 1680 which describes paper butterflies in a dream.

Well, origami has many variations, such as:

Simple Origami Birds

Origami Crane

Rumor says if we make 1000 of this, our wish will come true. In Japan, this crane origami is symbol of luck, while in China it's the symbol of long age.

Origami Flapping Bird

Origami Swan

 Origami Chicken
 Origami Hummingbird

 Origami Stars
