Happy Mother's Day

Today, 22 December is the precious day for every single mother in the world, and for the girls who will become a mother sooner or later. This day also the same day for Chinese people to celebrate Dong Zhi Festival which I'll tell you in the next post. Since today is mother's day, I'm going to give a short history about mother's day. The earliest tributes to mothers date back to the annual spring festival the Greeks dedicated to Rhea, the mother of many deities, and to the offerings ancient Romans made to their Great Mother of Gods, Cybele. While in United States, Mother's Day started nearly 150 years ago, when Anna Jarvis, an Appalachian homemaker, organized a day to raise awareness of poor health conditions in her community, a cause she believed would be best advocated by mothers. She called it "Mother's Work Day."Well those are a short history of Mother's Day. Now I'm going to give you several creative ideas to help you celebrate mother's day with your mom.

You can pick those flowers (highly recommended your Mom's favorite flowers) from your garden or specially request the florist to deliver it to your house on mother's day, but I suggest you to pick them yourself if you have time and have a garden since by doing that will show more effort rather than ask the florist. But it's up to you anyway :)
