I found cute add-ons for Mozilla called Persona and Themes. Well I know these 2 add-ons were old ones, but since yesterday I got another cute image for my new firefox persona, so I decided to write about this.

How To Create A Blog Using Blogspot

Recently, my friend asked me how to create blog. And I promised to give him the tutorial. So here it is.

First you need to go to the blog like tumblr, blogspot, or wordpress..

Then, you sign yourself up there.

After you sign up, you'll see this page. You need to click the button I told you to click on the below picture.

After you click that, the interface will be like this

And the last thing to do is write the title, as for me I chose Caramel Macchiato, and the address, as for me I chose xiezhiyanyan.blogspot.com
About the template you can choose one of the templates provided by blogspot.com
Or you can make your own using the "Edit HTML" area. Then it's ready. ^^

How To Install Photoshop Brushes

I just installed several free photoshop brushes I got from http://www.brushesstock.com/ . The brushes there are cool I think. And for the bonus, open htis website http://myphotoshopbrushes.com/ for many kinds of brushes, custom shapes, patterns, styles and gradients.

First you need to download the brush

Then you extract the files

And the last step is you drag the .abr file to your photoshop, or click the .abr file twice. Then you can use the brush :)

How To Install New Font

I googled "Cherry Cream Soda Font" and I got this web.

There's so many fonts there. I downloaded several of them.

So now I'm going to tell you how to download it.

First, you'll get a pop up like this

Then after you download, you need to extract the files. After that, you click the file. Then the interface will be like this.

 

Do you see the install button on the left corner above..?? Click that, wait a while, then your font is ready. ;D

How To Create A .GIF Image

I'm trying to make a .gif image since it will look better because the animation. And I've googled it, then I found this web, http://picasion.com/
I tried it, and made a .gif image

There's also several softwares to make an animated .gif such as Carpstudio, Photoshop, GIMP, unFreez, and many more. Here's the steps to make an animated .gif in Carpstudio

1. Go to the morph solutions website and download pre-made animations for free
2. Launch CarpStudio from the Morph Solutions Inc
3. Allow CarpStudio to run, Java will ask if you would like to run CarpStudio, you should allow CarpStudio to run
4. Import the downloaded animations into the animation document by using the import sequence animation tool
5. Move the newly imported animations to its desired position by using the arrow tool
6. Export the animation as GIF by choosing Capture->Capture as GIF in the menu bar
7. Click on the stop capture and preview button when you are satisfied with the animation captured
8. Click on the save button and save the file

And this one are the steps to make animated .gif in unFreez

1. Create your source files
2. Drag your source gif files into the converter
3. Ensure that they are listed in the order you wish to animate them in
4. Select the additional options that you want concerning looping and delay between frames
5. Make the animated gif and save it with an appropriate name

How To Take Care Of A Guitar

I got kinda interested in guitar, since my fellow community friends taught me how to play a guitar. And I found this article titled How To Take Care Of Your Guitar

Well first of all, You Should Treat Your Guitar Well, just like you treat your other valuable possessions. Never let it down on the ground is the key. Always put your guitar in the case, in a gig bag, or on a wall hanger/floor stand is better for the guitar.

And then, Every Now And Then, Pick It Up, Check For Damage And Polish It. If you have an electric guitar, try loosening the strings a bit so you can remove the dust ( usually gathered around the pickups). But if you have an acoustic, loosen the strings and remove the dust by the bridge, and if you have a stratocaster-type of guitar, check the nut on the socket, if it loose, tighten it with your fingers or with some pliers, but be careful not to damage the nut it you use pliers.

And,  If You're Going To Take It Out From Your House, Don't Forget To Head Down To Your Local Guitar Store And Check Prices For Padded Gig Bags Or Cases.

Then now for changing the strings.

Restringing A Guitar Is Easy. The thing to remember is: One string at a time. 
Do Not Take Off All Strings Before You Put On New Ones. Start with the low E (6th string), mainly because it's at the top. 

Possess A String Winder. First, you unwind the string at the machine head and keep on turning the tuner until the string is so loose you can wind off the string with your hands and removing it from the machine. Then, you go down to the bridge and notice how the string is fastened there. 
Make sure you have quite a few wraps around the peg for if not, the string will go out of tune more frequently and easily.



To Customize It Is Very Easy

Go to your local guitar store, or look on the internet for spare parts.
If you are a talented artist, you can try to customize your guitar by painting it, or you can put on some stickers. However, do not paint an acoustic guitar as it can reduce the quality of the sound or try to reshape it, neither the body nor the neck nor the headstock, as this can mess up the sound coming from it.

Don't spray it with any chemicals to clean it. They might discolor it.

Don't keep your guitar in the case during the monsoons, because it will warp.

Don't wipe your strings with a wet cloth, they will rust.

Don't use wet cloth to wipe the box. It will give the box a different sound.

Don't keep the guitar laying on the floor, or else it will produce annoying sounds.

Happy Mother's Day

Today, 22 December is the precious day for every single mother in the world, and for the girls who will become a mother sooner or later. This day also the same day for Chinese people to celebrate Dong Zhi Festival which I'll tell you in the next post. Since today is mother's day, I'm going to give a short history about mother's day. The earliest tributes to mothers date back to the annual spring festival the Greeks dedicated to Rhea, the mother of many deities, and to the offerings ancient Romans made to their Great Mother of Gods, Cybele. While in United States, Mother's Day started nearly 150 years ago, when Anna Jarvis, an Appalachian homemaker, organized a day to raise awareness of poor health conditions in her community, a cause she believed would be best advocated by mothers. She called it "Mother's Work Day."Well those are a short history of Mother's Day. Now I'm going to give you several creative ideas to help you celebrate mother's day with your mom.
